As the patient, it is your responsibility to be informed about your insurance coverage. If you plan to use your insurance, contact your insurance carrier prior to your first session to ask about your benefits for acupuncture. The following are questions you may want to address:
– Your coverage for acupuncture
– Whether a pain diagnosis is required for reimbursement
– The amount of your deductible and co-pay
– Number of visits per calendar year
We can also help you verify your in-network benefits and will submit billing if you have insurance through Cigna. For all other out of network providers, payment is due at time of service and we can provide you a superbill to submit for reimbursement.
